The executive team at Leisure Sports is passionate about the company, a business renowned for unparalleled service, industry leadership, innovation, and outstanding return on investment.

Steven M. Gilmour

President and CEO

As the owner and founder of Leisure Sports, Inc., Steve is the driving force behind the company's success and growth. Steve developed the ClubSport brand in the 1980's after his dream of a baseball career was cut short by an injury. His vision was to develop a full service sports and fitness club where the whole family could have fun.  The first full-service club was built in 1981 in Pleasanton, California. ClubSport Pleasanton is still the “flagship” club today. Steve grew the brand to include five additional ClubSport fitness resorts, and he didn’t stop there. In 2002, he joined forces with Marriott to combine two brands into Renaissance ClubSport. In 2010, with group fitness on the rise, Steve created The Studio by Leisure Sports, offering studio fitness in an upscale relaxing environment. The brands he introduced are benchmarks of the fitness and hospitality industries, earning awards and recognition.   Steve Gilmour
